Freshman Will Hein earned a trip to the Class 1 Individual MSHSAA State Championships with a 2nd place finish to Greenwood's Han Seo at the Class 1 District 6 Championships hosted at Gillenwater Tennis Park in Springfield, MO on April 30th 2026. 

The Class 1 Individual State Championships were hosted over two days at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield May 14th-15th.  Hein defeated Clayton High School junior Luke Jean 6-3, 6-2 before facing Bolivar's junior, Peyton Cole. Hein advanced after a grueling 7-6 (5) 6-0 victory.

Day 2 of the state tournament pitted Hein against eventual Class 1 State Champion Ridge Stagner. Stagner, a senior from Benton High School advanced to the Championship with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Hein where he faced Greenwood's Seo for the title. 

Hein defeated Columbia Independent High School junior Wyatt Litton to earn All-State Honors and a 3rd place finish.
