Springfield Catholic's Harper Elliott became the program's first ever individual state golf champion by shooting a two-day total of 141. He and St. Francis Borgia's Houston Tiefenbrunn shot matching 69 and 72 scores over the two rounds to tie for the top honors.
Elliott had birdies on the first, fourth and 18th holes to help get to one-under for the day. His efforts lead Catholic to a third place finish as a team with a 608. Gavin Walker (24th – 154), Reed Sachse (31st – 156), Jacody Westhoff (37th – 159) and Finley Young (168 – 69th) rounded out Springfield Catholic's third-place finishing team.
Mt. Vernon's Karter Clark shot a 148 over the two days to place sixth overall. Monett's August Black also finished in the top 10 with a 150 to place ninth. The Cubs placed seventh as a team.
